New Mixtape Series Debut “SOUL BANGERS” by Professor Moses

I grew up listening to soul music, blues, and jazz. We used to play music from the morning to the night in my house. My dad was a huge lover of music and so was my mom. This has lead me to always appreciate the classic soul sound.

One of the main reasons I wanted to play the saxophone when I was younger was my love for jazz music.

I have infused my past with my present to create the mixtape series “SOUL BANGERS”.

I hope you enjoy…

My Spirit Animal // Wise Lion Sun King

Wise Lion Sun King // As I roam the jungle, passing all of my jungle animal brothers and sisters, it gives me happiness to see the harmony amongst the forest. That doesn’t mean that there is not conflict within the forest. Animals in survival mode… Eat or die. Survive or be slain. Hunt or be hunted. This world does not wait for the “right time”… For your right time may be another’s wrong time. The harmony within the forest is in alignment with the spirit of life. The circle of life which we are ALL a part of. The lion is the overseer of the forest in a way that helps keep the balance amongst the animals. No animal is more or less important than the other. The lion represents an animal of fairness and strength. With love the lion transforms power into a community of all living things. Allowing peace amongst the chaos. It is only through a pure love for every living animal and plant in the kingdom can the lion be the KING.☀️🙏🏽❤️👑

Enrico Moses “Professor Moses” My mission as a DJ is to awaken the sleeping souls. To unite around joy, self expression, connection, love, and straight up happiness.

I was born & raised in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Growing up listening to music with the family, all the good old school. I fell in love with jazz as a child while picking up the alto saxophone and classically training on that instrument.

MCing has been a lifetime passion of mine. I performed for my elementary school as a young lad. In middle school, I would host parties with my friends and friends friends. Playing music and hosting was always something I loved to do. It’s always been about bringing people together. The logistics of an experience designer has many layers. When it all comes together right it’s a beautiful alchemy.

While in College

I picked up producing and DJing. Buying 2 TTX Numarks with the PPD01 mixer joint. I copped the same setup Big Tigger in the basement had. I saw all my favorite DJ’s rocking them joints so I figured it was good enough for me to get to the level I wanted to get.

I prob spent more time practicing DJing and producing than I actually ended up going to school. I started DJing at local parties around the school and at the local bars.

This was around the time I started my first t-shirt line Big Faces. This would be the line that eventually would evolve into me owning and operating my own menswear boutique in Brooklyn Center, MN at the Brookdale Mall. (Rest In Peace) Man, I grew up in that mall. Both as a kid and as an adult. I got my first business degree in that mall. I met so many amazing people in that mall in my shop.

Not a day goes by that I don’t remember something positive about that experience. I was young and making moves. I started traveling the country every month or so. To New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Florida, San Diego, Seattle, and many places in between. It has been my travels that I have learned the most from.

All the people I have met, the differences in our cultures, our walks, our talks… it’s the differences that actually connects us. As hip hop is an infusion of so many cultures, I learned so is this country.

Moved to Los Angeles

In 2009 I closed my shop in the early part of the recession and decided to head to L.A. I did think about moving to NY for many reasons, but in the end LA became the choice.

While in LA I have dipped my toes in many amazing ventures with some AMAZING PEOPLE. I am so thankful for everyone who is in my life and who continues to enrich my life in many ways through their presence and gifts in my life.

My Family

I have 2 beautiful children. Enriqo (Age 11) and Rumi (Age 1). I have an amazing and gorgeous queen Mary Vallarta. My family is my center and my rock. We all dance and sing together constantly. I know if my music is good and is rocking when my whole family is rocking to it. If not then I know something ain’t tasting right.

My family extends to you. I have a diverse background, being: Jewish, Native American, African-American. I see a brother and sister in everyone that I see. We are all one big family.

My mission as a DJ is to awaken the sleeping souls. To unite around joy, self expression, connection, love, and straight up happiness. I like to play music that is REAL and AUTHENTIC. Sometimes that means I play music with lyrics that can be looked at as “negative or explicit”… I see these lyrics as an expression of truth. To me truth is liberating.

In the end I hope to bring you some joy and I hope to connect with you some time soon.
